Clinical Excellence ● Entrepreneurial Thinking ● European Impact
Foundry for Urologic Science & Entrepreneurship
We are building a world-class innovation hub where excellence in medical research meets entrepreneurship. By bringing together top-tier clinicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry partners, we transform scientific discoveries into real-world impact — accelerating the development of new technologies, therapies, companies, and models of care that improve patients' lives.
FUSE runs two distinct innovation tracks under one roof, sharing one overarching mission: Clinical Excellence.
Track One — From Year 1
A Curation Model — The Accelerator
The idea originates outside. We accelerate it.
We select existing founder-led teams with proven ideas and accelerate their development — rigorously, inside a real hospital environment. The accelerator selects, funds, provides data and clinical access, and mentors.
Selection · Capital · Clinical Access · MentorshipTrack Two — Once Track 1 Is Stable
A Creation Model — The Venture Studio
The idea originates inside. We are co-founder and builder.
We originate ideas internally, recruit talent to execute them, and build companies from scratch. The studio is co-founder, builder, and funder — with IP ownership from day one.
Idea Generation · Talent · IP Ownership · Co-Building"In the coming years, artificial intelligence will be the main driver of innovation in healthcare. It will be the key to major advances in medical diagnosis, prevention, and treatment, as well as in the organization of care."
Prof. Michaël Peyromaure — Head of Urology, AP-HP Hôpital Cochin · Medical Director, Uroplus Foundation
The department of Urology at the AP-HP Cochin Hospital, under the direction of Pr. Michaël Peyromaure, possesses several key assets that together create a strong foundation for innovation in HealthTech: exceptional patient volume, structured access to clinical data, and leadership that recognizes both the importance of innovation and the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence. Combined with an already existing foundation dedicated to urology — which brings private funding and a key degree of operational independence — this creates, in our view, a uniquely favorable environment within European urology to build a long-term and credible HealthTech innovation platform, inspired by the operational principles of leading Silicon Valley accelerators that some of our founding team members have experienced firsthand.
Innovation in healthcare depends on proximity to patients, high-quality clinical expertise, and real-world evidence. FUSE brings these elements together, creating a unique environment for developing, validating, and scaling solutions that can improve patient care.
FUSE is not a generalist program. Every startup selected, every pilot run, every dataset accessed is anchored in focused verticals. Each cohort focuses on one or two thematic areas, ensuring clinical relevance and cohort coherence — and attracting world-class founders and researchers.
No European health institution has combined an accelerator and a venture studio in a single legal structure in HealthTech. Track 1 builds reputation and deal flow. Track 2 builds IP and deep long-term value. Together, they create a flywheel no single-model competitor can match.
FUSE operates as an independent SAS subsidiary — with its own governance, designed to reach operational break-even. Free from the procurement cycles and political constraints of public institutions, it moves at the speed innovation demands.
Clinical authority. Entrepreneurial track record. Legal rigour. Statistical depth and AI authority. Each co-founder brings a dimension that is rare on its own — together, they cover every axis a HealthTech innovation engine requires.
Advisory Board
"We have the patients, the data, the space, and the top-tier medical specialists. What we build now is the engine that turns these assets into Europe's most important innovation platform in prostate cancer — and possibly in HealthTech."
Olivier Carteret — CEO, FUSEThe right question is: what does it cost to become the leading European institution in HealthTech innovation — and what is that position worth? The answer reframes what investment means.
At 4 companies per cohort and 1 cohort per year, total program investment over 5 years is approximately €7M. A single exit at €500M valuation on a 7% stake returns €35M. Returns are possible. They are not the primary objective.
Recognition as Europe's leading urology institution. Philanthropic and EU grant leverage. Corporate partnerships at premium terms. A proprietary data asset that compounds with every cohort. These do not appear on a cap table — but they are durable.
